- Australia Zoo is located on Steve Irwin Way, Beerwah, Sunshine Coast, approximately a one hour drive north of Brisbane
By Car
- Travel on the Bruce Highway, take the Steve Irwin Way exit and follow the signs. Takes roughly 1 hour from Brisbane, 2 hours from the Gold Coast, and 3.5 hours from Hervey Bay
By Train
- Catch the train from Central Station, Brisbane to Beerwah. Local bus transfers can be caught from the Beerwah train station to Australia Zoo.

Australia Zoo Coach pickup service from the Sunshine Coast
- Australia Zoo has partnered with Greyhound Australia for pick up and drop off coach services around the Sunshine Coast. Greyhound operate daily services between Noosa, Coolum, Maroochydore, Alexandra Headlands, Mooloolaba and Australia Zoo in Beerwah

“ Australia Zoo is huge and provides plenty of space for animals. It is very accessible by train and free shuttle from Beerwah station. The ticket of Experience Oz is great as you do not need to queue up at the entrance to purchase tickets. Everything's included except the animal hospital (which is very small and in my view does not worth a visit).
It was an awesome experience visiting Australia Zoo
4 months agoIt was an awesome experience visiting Australia Zoo, was a super hot day but we still had fun. The show in the Crocoseum was informative & exciting and the most important part of the day. The free shuttle is a great help and saves some time walking. It took us the whole day to see everything in the zoo.
